Subtrack helps you connect bank accounts, detect recurring payments, and manage subscriptions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, profile image, user ID, and authentication details provided by our authentication provider.
Bank connection information
If you connect a bank account, Subtrack uses read-only access through supported banking providers such as TrueLayer or Plaid. We do not receive or store your bank login credentials. We may store bank account metadata such as institution name, account name, account type, currency, connection status, and encrypted access tokens needed to sync transactions.
Transaction information
We collect transaction data from connected accounts so we can identify recurring payments and subscriptions. This may include merchant names, transaction descriptions, amounts, dates, currencies, categories, and related account identifiers.
Subscription information
We store subscriptions detected from your transactions or added manually, including merchant name, amount, billing period, renewal date, status, classification, notes, and related metadata.
Payment information
Purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not store full payment card details. We may receive subscription status information such as active, trial, expired, renewal, cancellation, or billing issue status.
Device and usage information
We may collect device, app, and usage information, such as app version, device type, locale, timezone, crash diagnostics, analytics events, and feature usage.
How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain Subtrack
- Connect bank accounts with read-only access
- Sync transactions
- Detect recurring payments and subscriptions
- Show spending totals, renewal dates, and subscription insights
- Send renewal reminders and account-related notifications
- Manage subscriptions, trials, and access to paid features
- Improve app reliability, security, and performance
- Provide support and respond to requests

How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Subtrack, including:
- Authentication providers
- Banking connection providers
- Cloud database and hosting providers
- Payment and subscription management providers
- Analytics and crash reporting providers
- Notification providers
These providers process information on our behalf or as necessary to provide their services.
Bank Credentials
Subtrack does not store your bank login credentials. Bank authentication is handled by the banking provider. Access to transaction data is read-only and cannot be used to move money.
Data Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted token storage, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide Subtrack, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data.
Your Choices
You can:
- Disconnect bank accounts
- Disable notifications
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account
- Request deletion of your account

Children
Subtrack is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Use
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may notify you in the app or by other reasonable means.
